23-year old Mali forward Aliou Diarra (200-F-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team APR Basketball Club Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and two assists for APR in his team's victory, helping them to crush Kepler (#4, 2-2) with 25-point margin 105-80. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed APR to consolidate first place in the Rwandan league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but APR already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Diarra had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be APR's top player in his first season with the team. Diarra has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.6ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.6rpg) and averages solid 1.6bpg and 77.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mohamed Doumbya (C-1997) of United Generation Basketball Kigali. He is Burundian center in his first season at UGB. In the last game Doumbya recorded an impressive 30 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as UGB lost that game 63-86 to REG (5-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Doumbya is one of the most experienced players at UGB and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#2). He also registered 10.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman David Nickelberry (201-G/F-1998) of Tigers BB Kigali (#6). Nickelberry showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Nickelberry's great performance the Tigers lost 61-85 to REG (#2, 5-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Tigers can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Nickelberry has individually a great season in Rwanda. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (8th best) and assists with 5.7apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Axel Mpoyo (203-1997) of APR - 27 points and 5 rebounds
5. Chad Bowie (188-G-1996) of Kepler - 27 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
