Experienced American Jeffery Stubbs (189-PG-1991, agency: MSG) put on an amazing game in the last round for Orion Kigali and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 33-year old playmaker had the game-high 35 points adding six rebounds and seven assists for Orion in his team's victory, helping them to beat Kepler (#3, 1-1) 87-81. Thanks to this victory Orion moved-up to the 7th position in Rwandan RBL. Orion is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-2 record. In the team's last game Stubbs had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Orion, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jackson State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stubbs is in league's top in assists (5th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 57.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Orion's star - shooting guard Kennedy Garba (SG). Garba impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 16 points and 25 rebounds. Bad luck as Orion Kigali lost that game 65-72 to REG (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Garba is one of the most experienced players at Orion and similarly like Jeffery Stubbs has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 16.3rpg and 3.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was Senegalese Jean-Jacques Boissy (183-PG-2000) of second-ranked Rwanda Energy Group Kigali. Boissy showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of REG, leading his team to a 72-65 win against Orion (#7, 1-2). REG started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Boissy turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Boissy has a great season in Rwanda. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Steven-Emile Perriere (203-C/F-1995) of UGB - 17 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Mohamed Doumbya (C-1997) of UGB - 22 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Cleveland Thomas (192-G-1993) of REG - 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
