![]() Charlotte Umugwaneza, 40-year old center from the APR BBC Kigali, was selected as the Player of the Year at the Division 1.
She received multiple other awards, was honored as the Center of the Year and was named to the First Team.
With Umugwaneza's excellent performance, the APR BBC Kigali achieved the best record of the season in the league, finishing with an impressive 17 to 1 in the regular season.
Umugwaneza's best performance made her team reach the finals but they unfortunately were defeated by REG BBC Kigali 0 to 4.
She was the Player of the Week honoree in the league.
With finesse and precision, Umugwaneza claimed the fourth position in rebounds per game, delivering a stellar almost 14 rebounds per game average.
Umugwaneza also averaged almost 12 points per game in the league.
She has totalled 3 games of 20 or more points and recorded double-doubles in 12 games on the year.
Umugwaneza's 22 points against the RP IPRC Huye were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
Nelly Nsanzabaganwa, 29-year old point guard from the Kepler BBC Kigali, earned the Guard of the Year of Division 1.
She also earned a spot in the First Team.
Nsanzabaganwa received Player of the Week award in the league.
She registered over 12 points and 8 rebounds per game that season in the league.
Nsanzabaganwa had double-doubles in 6 games during the event.
Her 20 points against the The Hoops were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
Brigitte Nibishaka, 17-year old forward from the Groups Scolaire Marie Reine Rwaza, picked up the Forward of the Year at the Division 1.
She was also voted to the First Team.
Nibishaka's court vision propelled her to the third spot in rebounds per game an outstanding average of almost 16.
She was voted Player of the Week four times during the 24 campaign.
Nibishaka led the D1 in points per game with almost 22.
She has totalled 12 games of 20 or more points on the year and recorded 30 or more points in 4 games.
Nibishaka logged double-doubles in 18 games at the event.
Her 44 points against the University of Rwanda were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
The standout Ugandan point guard Rosine Micomyiza was selected to the First Team of the championship-winning REG BBC Kigali.
Her excellent performance assisted her team in beating APR BBC Kigali 4 to 0 in the final series.
Micomyiza registered almost 14 points and over 3 rebounds per game over the season in the league.
She has totalled 6 games of 20 or more points on the year and notched 30 or more points in 2 games.
Micomyiza's 30 points against the EA Univ were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
Taylor Hosendove, American forward from the APR BBC Kigali, was chosen to the First Team of Division 1.
She graduated from the Oregon last year.
Hosendove's best performance made her team reach the finals but they unfortunately lost against REG BBC Kigali 0 to 4.
She averaged almost 13 points and over 9 rebounds per game in the league.
Hosendove recorded double-doubles in 3 games at the event.
Her 28 points against the University of Rwanda were the most she scored in the 2024 season.
She was selected to the All-Sun Belt Third Team back in 2021.
