Patriots shot 63.9 percent from the field and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Patriots forced 27 Kepler turnovers and had a 27-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Patriots looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kepler's players. American forward William Perry (183-1994, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Stephaun Branch (196-1995, college: UWG) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Patriots players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Chad Bowie (188-1996, college: SHSU) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Burundian point guard Guibert Nijimbere (186-1995) scored 18 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

International center Kendall Gray (208-1992, college: Delaware St.) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
