31-year old American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-G-1993, agency: Slash Sports) had a great game in the last round for Rwanda Energy Group Kigali and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had the game-high 27 points adding seven rebounds and seven assists for REG in his team's victory, helping them to crush Espoir (#5, 9-9) with 22-point margin 93-71. REG maintains the 3rd position in Rwandan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. REG will need more victories to improve their 15-4 record. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be REG's top player in his first season with the team. Cleveland Thomas averages this season 19.7ppg and 6.6apg.

Second best performed player last round was Stephaun Branch (196-G-1995) of top-ranked Patriots Basketball Club Kigali. He is American guard in his first season at Patriots. In the last game Branch recorded an impressive 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Patriots was edged by slightly lower-ranked REG (#3, 15-4) 86-83. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Patriots still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team belongs to top of the standings with 16-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Branch is a newcomer at Patriots and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ronald Nato (199-F-1992) of Espoir BBC Kigali (#5). Nato scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Nato's great performance the Espoir lost 71-93 to slightly higher-ranked REG (#3, 15-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Espoir needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Nato has a great season in Rwanda. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 11.3rpg (2nd best).
