American Antino Jackson (182-PG-1996) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Rwanda Energy Group Kigali and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 28-year old playmaker got a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists, while his team crushed Kepler (#4, 10-8) with 25-point margin 98-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. REG maintains the 3rd position in Rwandan RBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. REG will need more victories to improve their 13-4 record. In the team's last game Jackson had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be REG's top player in his first season with the team. University of New Mexico graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jackson is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.8ppg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another REG's star - young American guard Cleveland Thomas (192-G-1993, agency: Slash Sports). Thomas impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course together with Jackson he helped Rwanda Energy Group Kigali with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Kepler (#4, 10-8) 98-73. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. REG consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 13-4 record is not bad at all. Thomas is a newcomer at REG and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Fabrice Muhoza (SG) of Espoir BBC Kigali (#5). Muhoza scored 14 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Muhoza's great performance the Espoir lost 68-79 to slightly lower-ranked UGB (#6, 8-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Espoir needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 8 lost games. Muhoza has a very solid season. In 15 games in Rwanda he scored 5.5ppg. He also has 6.0rpg and 2.9bpg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Emmanuel Iyakaremye (200-PG-1992) of UGB - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Kendall Gray (208-C-1992) of REG - 10 points and 6 rebounds
6. Steven-Emile Perriere (203-C/F-1995) of UGB - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Espoir Aganze (188-G-2000) of UGB - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 9 assists
8. Chad Bowie (188-G-1996) of Kepler - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Yamin Niyubahwe (C) of Kepler - 12 points and 8 rebounds
10. Pitchou Kambuyi (208-C-1988) of REG - 9 points and 6 rebounds
