The most exciting game of round 21 in the RBL took place in Kigali. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed REG (12-4) to second ranked APR (15-1) 77-75 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of REG. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when APR made 7 blocks. It was a good game for the former international forward Axel Mpoyo (203-1997, college: GSU) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Kenyan center Tom Bush-Wamukota (212-1993, college: Wichita St.) contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Antino Jackson (182-1996, college: N.Mexico) answered with 27 points and 5 assists for REG. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. APR have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 15-1 record having just one point less than leader Patriots. REG at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost.

The former international forward Emile Kazeneza (203-2000, college: William Carey) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Guibert Nijimbere chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Kepler's coach Juruni Lutwama allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Chadian forward Ronald Nato (199-1992) with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kepler. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Espoir.
The game between seventh ranked UGB (7-8) and 9th ranked K-Titans (1-15) in Kigali on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. UGB outscored guests from Kigali 116-55. Nemanja Milosevic nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points, 23 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. UGB's coach Yves Murenzi felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Niyizibyose Janvier came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds for K-Titans in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for UGB. They maintain seventh place with 7-8 record. K-Titans lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost.
