Forward Charles Nkurunziza (F) had a great game in the last round for Orion Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The player was the main contributor (29 points, nine rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Inspired Gen. (#10, 1-17) 89-84. Orion maintains the 8th position in Rwandan RBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 12 games and recorded just four victories. Nkurunziza has many years of experience at Orion, through which he has constantly improved. Charles Nkurunziza averages this season 7.3ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Central African Morel Lenguewane (202-F-2000) of Tigers BB Kigali. Lenguewane had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Tigers lost that game 67-74 to slightly lower-ranked UGB (#7, 5-8). Tigers managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 8-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lenguewane is one of the most experienced players at Tigers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Patrick Rugamba (F) of Inspired Generation (#10). Rugamba scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). Despite Rugamba's great performance the Inspired Gen. lost 84-89 to slightly higher-ranked Orion (#8, 4-12). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Rugamba has individually a great season in Rwanda. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Patrick Rembert (185-PG-1990) of UGB - 30 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists
5. Aliou Diarra (200-F-2001) of APR - 18 points and 13 rebounds
6. Fortunate Mwanawabene) of Espoir - 27 points and 11 rebounds
7. Ntore Habimana (196-G-1997) of APR - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists

9. Samuel Ndayizeye) of Patriots - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Theoneste Gatsinzi (SF-1997) of Patriots - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
