DR Congolese Center Pitchou Kambuyi (208-C-1988) had an amazing evening in the last round for Rwanda Energy Group Kigali, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 36-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed K-Titans (#9, 1-12) with 35-point margin 122-87. REG maintains the 3rd position in Rwandan RBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. REG will need more victories to improve their 10-3 record. Kambuyi has many years of experience at REG, through which he has constantly improved. Pitchou Kambuyi has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.9ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 10.7rpg) and averages impressive 3.0bpg and 65.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Canadian Chris Ruta (211-F-2000) of league's second-best APR Basketball Club Kigali. Ruta had a very good evening with 34 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he led APR to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Orion (#8, 3-9) 124-65. APR's second position in the standings has not changed. His team belongs to top of the standings with 13-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Ruta is one of the most experienced players at APR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Montenegrin forward Nemanja Milosevic (204-PF-1987) of United Generation Basketball Kigali (#7). Milosevic showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Milosevic's great performance the UGB lost 76-85 to the higher-ranked APR (#2, 13-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of UGB not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Milosevic could try to bring UGB's a little bit higher in the standings. Milosevic has a very solid season. In 3 games in Rwanda he scored 25.3ppg.
