Hagumintwari number one in Rwanda RBL for round 13

International Power forward Steven Hagumintwari (198-PF-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Patriots Basketball Club, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (23 points and four assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Orion (#7, 3-7) with 19-point margin 86-67. It allowed Patriots to consolidate first place in the Rwandan RBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Patriots keeps a perfect 10-0 record. In the team's last game Hagumintwari had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Patriots, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Steven Hagumintwari has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 16.7ppg) and averages impressive 65.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Caleb Podo of Orion Kigali. Podo had a very good evening with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Orion lost that game 67-86 to league's leader Patriots (#1, 10-0). Orion managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Podo is one of the most experienced players at Orion and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Orion's star - center Olivier Kamanzi (C-1996). Kamanzi scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Kamanzi's great performance the Orion Kigali lost 67-86 to the league's current leader Patriots (#1, 10-0). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of Orion not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kamanzi could try to bring Orion's a little bit higher in the standings. Kamanzi has a very solid season. In 9 games in Rwanda he scored 7.1ppg.
