Bottom-ranked Inspired Gen. (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 119-54 loss to third ranked REG (7-3) in Kigali on Friday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Inspired Gen.'s 28. REG forced 31 Inspired Gen. turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. REG looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Inspired Gen.'s players. Tigers - Orion 67-54

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Orion (3-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Tigers (6-4) 67-54 on Friday. Tigers forced 19 Orion turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tigers made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was Nigerian power forward Francis Azolibe (206-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks.
