RBL Round 4: Espoir lose to APR

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game of round 4 was a defeat of league's leader Espoir (5-2). They were crushed by top-ranked APR (5-0) 80-35 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Espoir. APR have a solid four-game winning streak. Despite that victory APR went down to third position due to points difference. Espoir at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with K-Titans. They were replaced at the leadership position by REG.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked REG as it allowed them to take a leadership position. REG smashed 6th ranked SFTS in Kigali 101-50. Undefeated REG (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. SFTS lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with three games lost.
Leading Espoir (5-2) recorded its second loss on the court of fourth ranked Patriots on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Patriots 83-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Espoir. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Patriots (6-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Espoir dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with K-Titans.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 4: K-Titans won against Tigers on the opponent's court 78-66. Patriots outscored IPRC-Kigali in a home game 98-40. Orion rolled over IPRC-Huye on the road 96-75. Tigers crushed IPRC-Musanze on its own court 103-52. K-Titans smashed IPRC-Kigali in a road game 83-57. UGB lost to defending champion REG at home 60-92. Winless IPRC-Musanze was outscored by UGB on the opponent's court 63-91.



APR - Espoir 80-35
