Thomas comes back to Rwanda Energy Group

Cleveland Thomas

Rwanda Energy Group (RBL) inked 28-year old American 192cm guard Cleveland Thomas (college: WKU), agency: Slash Sports. It is actually his comeback to Kigali as he has played here before. Thomas played most recently at The Enchantment (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S.
He is a very experienced player. Thomas has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Germany, Greece (AS Apollon Patras), Hungary (Duna Aszfalt), Italy (Cantu) and Slovenia (Zlatorog). His team won MWC Tournament in 2013 and 2014.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Honorable Mention in 2021.
Thomas graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2017 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
