Basketballghana.com can confirm veteran Shooting Guard Kenny Gasana (195-G-1984, college: Boise St.) has joined the roster of Rwanda Energy Group (REG) ahead of the team's participation in the playoffs of the 2022 Basketball Africa League (BAL). This is Kenny Gasana's second run in the NBA-FIBA Africa tournament after playing in the 2021 edition for fellow Rwandan side Patriots; the team finished in fourth place. Kenny Gasana has represented Rwanda at the international level and joined the team from Bahrain Club in the Bahrain Basketball League as REG prepares to play FAP from Cameroon in the first round of games on May 21. REG recently returned to Rwanda after a weeklong training camp in Turkey where the team played against Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. The playoff games are due to take place at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda from May 21 to May 28 with eight teams representing eight African countries. Four teams qualified from the Nile Conference and four teams qualified from the Sahara Conference to compete at the playoff stage.
