APR - Patriots 53-69

Patriots outscored APR to take 2-1 lead in the series. Patriots outrebounded APR 47-36 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a quality performance for center Aubi Kasongo (-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Micheal Makiadi (-89) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Patriots players scored in double figures. Emmanuel Iyakaremye (200-92) came up with 13 points and 5 rebounds and international Bienvenue Niyonsaba (201-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for APR in the defeat.

Espoir - REG 58-79

REG gunned Espoir to sweep the series. REG forced 20 Espoir turnovers and outrebounded them 58-35 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Beleck Bell (-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Elie Kaje (198-95, college: Bossier-Parish CC) helped adding 10 points and 14 rebounds. REG's coach Patrick Ngwijuruvugo felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Armel Sangwe (-98) with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Thierry Nkundwa (192-1) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Four Espoir players scored in double figures.
