SULEIMAN BRAIMOH

Hapoel Eilat (Winner League) landed 29-year old Nigerian ex-international power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-104kg-89, college: Rice). He played most recently at Enisey in Russian VTB league. In 23 VTB United League games he averaged 10.9ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.1spg last season. Braimoh also played 14 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 9.8ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.0bpg.
The previous (16-17) season he played at JSF Nanterre (ProA) in league. In three games he recorded 4.7ppg and 2.3rpg.
Among other achievements Braimoh's team won Qatar Heir Apparent Cup in 2013. He received also Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Sixth Man of the Year award in 2017.
Braimoh played at the Gulf Club Championships Semifinals five years ago.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball Braimoh experienced life in six different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Braimoh has played previously professionally in Germany (Giessen 46ers), Japan (Niigata Albirex and Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano), Mexico (Huracanes), New Zealand, Qatar (Al Rayyan) and NBA G League (Stockton Kings).
He attended Rice University until 2011 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Braimoh's outlook: An undersized but very strong and athletic inside player. Often plays in the 5 position, even if he can shoot 35% from 3 point line. Also, he can handle the ball off the dribble and penetrate finishing well. Still needs a little more polish on his skills. Defensively, he's very effective, hard working with a natural ability to grab rebounds.
