ALEKSEY ADEDIRAN

MBC Mykolaiv (Superleague) is about to agree terms with experienced 35-year old Russian-Nigerian center Aleksey Adediran (201-114kg-82, college: Binghamton) who played last time at Niko-Basket Mykolaiv in Russian Higher League. It is actually his comeback to Mykolaiv as he has played here before. In 18 Higher League games he had very impressive stats: 15.2ppg, 9.4rpg (#5 in the league), 1.2apg and 1.1spg last season. Adediran helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Higher League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (16-17) season he played at SK Cherkasy Monkeys where in 16 Superleague games he recorded 4.6ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Adediran was voted Eurobasket.com All-Russian Higher League Player of the Year back in 2012.
He is quite experienced player. Adediran's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in seven different countries. Adediran tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally also in Dominican Rep., Estonia, Georgia (Energy Invest), Latvia (Valga-Valka), Russia (Severstal, Elbrus Cherkessk, Dynamo-YUZGU Kursk, Kamit-Universitet Tver and Samara) and Dominican Republic (La Cancha).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Mykolaiv.
Adediran attended Binghamton University until 2005 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Adediran: Throughout his career Alex has proven to be a monster rebounder who is extremely difficult to defend as well as a top scorer with great offensive and defensive skills. He earned "Mr. Offense" honors for the ANBL Georgia Gwizzlies team. As a rebounder, he is a beast on the weak side rebound. Alex has strong hands too, if he gets his hands on the ball no one will take it from him.

MBC Mykolaiv roster for 2018-2019:

Guards:
Vladyslav Tonchenko
Sergei Popov
Vitaliy Zotov
Denys Bobrov
Andriy Khokhonyk

Forwards:
Illya Zhukovskiy
Kyrylo Meshheryakov
Anton Musiyenko

Center:
Konstantin Anikenko

Coach: Vitaliy Cherniy
