Christopher Obekpa (ex Trabzonspor) agreed terms with Al Riyadi - Aug 6, 2018

Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) inked 24-year old Nigerian international power forward Christopher Obekpa (208-107kg-93, college: UNLV). He played most recently at Trabzonspor in Turkish BSL league. In 24 games he recorded 8.5ppg, 7.1rpg and 2.5bpg last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game. Obekpa also played 1 game in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 4 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
The previous (16-17) season Obekpa played at Warriors in U.S. League. In 34 games he averaged 5.3ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.5bpg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in D- Pacific Division.
Obekpa has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He has been a member of Nigerian international program for some years. Obekpa was called to Nigerian senior team this year and previously for U16 National Team back in 2008.
He graduated from University of Nevada - Las Vegas in 2016 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
Obekpa's game is described as: An intimidating shotblocker and defensive game-changer.

KINGSLEY OKOROH Saenz Horeca Araberri (LEB Gold) inked 23-year old British-Nigerian center Kingsley Okoroh (216-118kg-95). He just graduated from California (NCAA).
