Atenas de Carmen de Patagones (La Liga Argentina) inked 25-year old Nigerian international power forward Lotanna Nwogbo (203-116kg-93, college: Longwood). He played in the summer at Atlanta Dirty South (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. Nwogbo managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). First he played at Deportivo Valdivia (Liga Nacional) in league where in 8 games he recorded 9.6ppg and 5.6rpg. Nwogbo helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. He also played for Sendai 89ers (B2 League) in league. In 7 games he averaged 5.3ppg and 5.9rpg. The other team Nwogbo played that season for was Pass lab Yamagata Wyverns (B2 League) in league. In 14 games he had just 2.1ppg and 1.6rpg.
Nwogbo received All-Big South Conference 1st Team award in 2016 at his college time. Nwogbo was called to Nigerian Senior National Team this year.
He has played previously for Argentinian team Gimnasia.
Nwogbo attended Longwood College until 2016 and it will be his third season in pro basketball.
