Caballos de Cocle Aguadulce (LPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American (has also Nigerian passport) power forward Ike Okoye (206-86, college: Boise State). He played last season at Penarol in Argentinian LigaA. In 10 games he recorded 4.7ppg and 3.6rpg. Good season as he was named League Player of the Week. Okoye also played for San Isidro (also in LigaA) where in 10 games he averaged impressive 20.5ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.5apg and 1.2bpg. He was also named League Player of the Week. The other team Okoye played that season for was Abejas (LNBP) in league. In 20 games he had 13.6ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.2apg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week. Another team Okoye played that season for was Al Karkh (Superleague) in league. In 10 games he got remarkable 20.5ppg, 10.0rpg and 1.5apg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Okoye won Chilean Liga Saesa championship title in 2016. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional Center of the Year back in 2015.

He can face up and shoot or face up and drive to the rim and finish. He is fast in transition and aggressive on rebounds especially defensive rebounds. Good court vision and goog basketball IQ. Great character on and off the court.
