Elan Sportive get second win in in FIBA Africa Zone 3 Champions Cup- October 29, 2016
Benin Republic Champions ELAN Sportive- Port Novo cruised to their 2nd win at the FIBA Africa Zone 3 club championship taking place in Lome with a 55-41 points win over AS Nigelec of Niger. The Niger Republic side started out with a bang scoring the first 2 baskets for a 4-0 lead but lost Beninoise champions replied with a force that couldn't be stopped for the remainder of the 40 minutes of basketball action. ELAN won all quarters (51-8) (26-14) (33-39) (41-55) on their way to the 14 points victory. Head Coach of ELAN Sportive, Aurelius Konko said he is still not satisfied with his team's performance despite the win. ' I am glad we won but I am still not satisfied with the way we played, I hope Customs beats Kano Pillars, so it can throw things open and increase our chances of qualification'. ELAN Sportive's Gnimasson Joel lead the floor with 12 points, while Soulemane Chabi-Yo and M'Po Eugene added 10 apiece in the win. |
