THE Namibian Basketball Federation, in conjunction with the Ministry of Sport, on Saturday continued their search for emerging talent with the under-20 regional trials held in Windhoek.

More than 30 players from Khomas and Hardap went through dribbling, passing and shooting drills and had the chance to showcase their playing skills in scrimmage games.

In the boys' category Fillemon Auwanga, Pedro Joao, Uakazapi Karuuombe, Andrew Oletu, Raphael Paulus, Reginald Sisande and Uerihorora Tjivikua were all invited to attend the national trials in Windhoek from April 26-28.

In the girls' section, Saima Sakaria, Alma Samuel, Victoria Shilongo, Hertha Shimuketa and Nina Simoa were selected.

Through the support of the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the German Federal Foreign Office, NBF also handed over balls to the players and coaches in order to continue working on their drills.

The next trials will be held in Tsumeb for the Caprivi, Kavango, Oshikoto and Otjozondjupa regions on Saturday.
