El-Shaarawy is back at Sporting, ex Ferr.Maputo

Alexandria Sporting Club (Superleague) signed 32-year-old Egyptian international forward Hala El-Shaarawy (185cm-1993, college: St.Peter's) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. It is her comeback to Alexandria as she has played there before. She played at Ferr.Maputo in

In 6 African Women Basketball League games recently, she averaged 4.5ppg and 1.8rpg.
She has also been a member of the Egyptian international program for some years. El-Shaarawy has regularly played for the Egyptian senior team since 2011 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2011.
She has played previously for two other Egypt teams: Al Ahly and Somouha. El-Shaarawy played in the final of FIBA Women's Basketball League Africa in 2025.
She graduated from Saint Peter's University in 2016 and it'll be her tenth season as a pro player.
