Ferroviario Maputo advanced to the Semifinals of the Women’s Basketball League Africa. They secured a 66–58 win over Sporting Clube de Luanda after a balanced, disciplined performance across all four quarters. The Mozambican side built a narrow halftime lead and maintained control with strong defense in the third quarter, limiting Sporting to just 10 points. Despite a late push from Sporting Clube de Luanda in the final period, Ferroviario Maputo held firm to close out the eight-point victory.
Silvia Veloso (170-G-1998, college: Cumberlands) notched 19 points and Stefania Chiziane (179-F-1996, college: Highland, KS) netted 13. Nelma Cunha (178-F-2002) answered with 17 points in defeat.
