Hala El-Shaarawy

Clube Ferroviaro da Maputo (D1) agreed terms with 32-year-old Egyptian international forward Hala El-Shaarawy (185cm-1993, college: St.Peter's). for the upcoming African Women Basketball League

She played last season at Sporting in Egyptian Superleague. She also played for another Egyptian team Alexandria Sporting Club in Egypt.
El-Shaarawy has been a member of the Egyptian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Egyptian senior team since 2011 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2011.

El-Shaarawy has also played professionally for other Egyptian teams such as Al Ahly and Somouha. She played in the final of the Egyptian League in 2025.

El-Shaarawy graduated from Saint Peter's University in 2016 and it's her 10th season as a pro player.
