Nigeria escape narrow win over Mozambique to remain undefeated

Nigeria overrun Mozambique 60-55 and extended winning streak to 26-0 at the AfroBasket. They won Group D of the campaign, whilst Mozambique ended up with 1-1 record.
Mozambique surprised the defending champions with a 13-9 rally ion the first quarter and led 4 points at the halftime. Nigeria replied with an 18-15 run in the third quarter and due to 18-12 rally in the last stanza, posted another win.
Kalu Ezinne (173-G-1992, college: SSU) stepped up with 16 points and Promise Amukamara (173-G-1993, college: Arizona St.) had 13. Ingvild Mucauro (176-F-1992) answered with 16 points in the losing effort.
