Leia Dongue (ex Roma) joins Charleville-Mezieres

Leia Dongue

Charleville-Mezieres (LFB) added to their roster 33-year old Mozambique ex-international power forward Leia Dongue (185cm-1991). She played last season at Roma in Italian Serie A2. In 25 Serie A1 games she had very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.3apg. Great season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Italian Serie A1 Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
The previous (2022-23) season she was tested by Landerneau Bretagne Basket.
She also represented Mozambique at the World Championship for Women in Turkey eleven years ago. During this event she scored an average of 15 points per game and had 11.7 rebounds per game.
Dongue is quite experienced player. She has played also in Hungary (Cegledi), Spain (Girona, Gernika, Logrono, Al-Qazeres and Araski), France (Nantes), Angola (1 De Agosto and Primero) and Mozambique (Lazio de Maputo).
Dongue won Spanish LFB championship title in 2019.
