Clitan De Sousa

Innova-TSN Leganes (LF Challenge) signed 28-year-old Mozambique ex-international 183cm guard Clitan De Sousa (college: OK State) for the upcoming season. She is not a newcomer in the Spanish League as she most recently played at Sant Josep in LF2, where her team was relegated to D4. In 30 LF Challenge games last season, she averaged 6.0ppg and 4.6rpg. For the two previous seasons (2021-23), she played at another Spanish team.
She was also a member of the Mozambique international program for some years. De Sousa played for Mozambique Senior National Team back in 2019 and previously for the University National Team in 2015.
She also represented Mozambique at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) nine years ago. During this event, she scored an average of 7.5 ppg and had 7.8 rpg.
De Sousa has played for another Spanish team, Jairis, before.
She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2020 and it'll be her fifth season in pro basketball. De Sousa played also for Seward County Community College for one year.
