Vania Sengo agreed terms with Ferragudo

Liga Feminina newcomer Acd Ferragudo Basquetebol Lagoa inked 27-year old Mozambique 185cm power forward Vania Sengo. Sengo played most recently at Sportiva. In 26 Liga Feminina games in Portugal she recorded 6.2ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.3apg last season. She helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
Sengo was a member of Mozambique U18 National Team back in 2014.
She has played previously professionally also in Spain (Barakaldo) and Portugal (Boa Viagem, Olivais, Quinta dos Lombos and Clube Desportivo Torres Novas). Sengo was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League Honorable Mention back in 2018 and 2020.
