Costa do Sol keeps Covane for another season

Costa do Sol Maputo (D1) has re-signed Vilma Covane, a 27-year-old ex-international center who stands at 190cm and was born in 1996. Covane, who attended Cumberlands College, played for the team last season.
She was also a member of the Mozambique international program for several years. She played for the Mozambique Senior National Team from 2015 to 2021 and had previously played for the U18 National Team in 2014.
She also represented Mozambique at the African Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon, eight years ago. Her statistics at that event were as follows: 6 games played, averaging 1.8 points per game and 3.2 rpg.
She graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2021, and this will be her fourth season as a professional player. She also played for other colleges such as Jones College and Seward County Community College.
