Ferroviario de Maputo successfully opened 2023 season. They overcame Maxaquene 69-39. Ferroviario de Maputo dominated the whole game to reach the initial win. Silvia Veloso (170-G-1998, college: Cumberlands) stepped up with 15 points, whilst Rosa Cossa (1995) netted 10.
Ferroviario da Beira meanwhile edged Academia new vision 53-31. Iolanda Francisco (183-F/C-1998) led the way with 24 points.
