Anabela Cossa (ex Ferroviaro M.) is a newcomer at 1 De Agosto

Desportivo 1. De Agosto Luanda (D1) added to their roster experienced 37-year old Mozambique international guard Anabela Cossa (172cm-1986) for season 2023-24. Cossa played last summer at CFM Ferroviaro Maputo in Mozambican D1 league. She has played there for the last six years.
Cossa has been also a member of Mozambique international program for some years. She has regularly played for Mozambique senior team since 2006 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2006.
Cossa represented Mozambique at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast (Australia) five years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 5.3ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.5apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 33.3%, 3PT: 23.8%.
She has played also professionally in Desportivo Maputo. Cossa won Mozambique League championship title in 2008 and 2011 and the cup in 2012 and 2018.
She is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible she may end her playing career at 1 De Agosto.
