2023 AfroBasket Qualifiers: Mozambique stay perfect in Bulawayo

Mozambique remained perfect in their 2023 AfroBasket qualification group. They stormed past Zimbabwe for the third consecutive win. Ingvild Mucauro (176-F-1992) and Stefania Chiziane (179-F-1996, college: Highland, KS) finished with 14 points each for the winners.
Mozambique recorded a 19-7 lead ten minutes into the game. They sank 27 points in the second stanza to boost the margin at 24-point mark. Mozambique ignited a massive 29-9 run in the third term to clear off for good then. Carla Covane tossed in 13 points for Mozambique. Happiness Maroto (167-SG-1999) answered with 15 points for Zimbabwe.
