Egyptian powerhouse Sporting overcame Costa do Sol 65-58 in the Final of the Champions Cup and clinched the title. They trailed 3 points in the first half, but then dominated the third period. Sporting erupted with a massive 19-8 surge to secure the lead and did not mind a narrow 10-11 loss in the last stanza.
Cierra Dillard (176-G-1996, college: Buffalo) top-scored for the winners with 21 points and Hagar Amer (184-F-1993) produced 18. Shayla Cooper (188-F-1995, college: Ohio St.) followed the champions with 10 points. Ingvild Agostinho answered with 15 points in the losing effort and Eleuteria Lhavanguane (180-F-1997) delivered 12.
