Ferroviario Beira (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American 196cm small forward Michael Murray (college: Coppin State). Murray played most recently at Burgan in Kuwaiti D1 league. In 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 25.0ppg, 14.7rpg and 3.1apg last season.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in seven different countries. Murray has played previously professionally in Argentina (Echague), Colombia (Warriors), Indonesia (Pelita Jaya), Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas), Portugal (Illiabum), Saudi Arabia (Al Nasr and Al Safa) and Spain (Algeciras, Quintanar and Azuqueca).
Among many awards he won Saudi Arabian League championship title in 2021. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Saudi Arabian SBL All-Imports Team in 2021.
Murray graduated from Coppin State in 2014 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
