Sengo comes back to Sportiva

Vania Sengo

Sportiva/AzorisHotels Ponta Delgada (Liga Feminina) added to their roster 26-year old Mozambique power forward Vania Sengo (185cm-1996) for season 2022-2023. It is actually her comeback to Ponta Delgada as she has played here before. Sengo played last season at Barakaldo in Spanish LF2 league. In 22 games she recorded 10.7ppg and 4.5rpg. The last season she played at Sportiva in Portuguese Liga Feminina where in 29 games she averaged 10.2ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.0apg in 2020-2021 season. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final.
Sengo was a member of Mozambique U18 National Team in 2014.
She has played previously for four other Portuguese teams: Boa Viagem, Olivais, Quinta Lombos and Clube Desportivo Torres Novas.
