Chanaya Pinto will continue her college career at The Pennsylvania State University

The Pennsylvania State University landed 21-year old Mozambique 6-1 forward Chanaya Pinto. Pinto comes from University of Oregon where she played only for one year. In 30 games she averaged just 2.9ppg and 2.4rpg. Ducks made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals this year.
She played also at Quinta dos Lombos in 2016-2019 and then at Northwest Florida State College in 2019-2021. Pinto's team ended regular season as a second best place in Portuguese League and Oregon won Portuguese Supercup and Portuguese Federation Cup in 2018. Ducks made it to the Portuguese League Finals in two consecutive years: 2018 and 2019. Her team won NJCAA D1 Championship and she was also voted to NJCAA D1 All-Tournament Team in 2021. Ducks made it to the Arfican U16 Championship in Antananarivo (Madagascar) in 2020. Pinto was also selected to NJCAA D1 All-America Third Team and All-Panhandle Conference First Team that year.
She was a member of Mozambique international program for some years. Pinto was called to Mozambique Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U19 National Team between 20 and 2019.
Among many awards her team won Afrobasket.com All-Arfican U16 Championship First Team in 2015. Ducks made it to the Afrobasket in Mali in 2020. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-World Cup U19 Honorable Mention in 2019.
