Fer.Maputo signs Demarcus Holland, ex Jena

Ferroviario de Maputo (D1) signed 27-year old American guard Demarcus Holland (190cm-84kg-94, college: Texas). He moved there from Science City Jena in German ProA. In 12 games he had 6.4ppg, 2.3rpg, and 2.2apg this season. Holland ended the last season at Hamburg Towers (BBL) in the German league where in four games he recorded 7.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.3apg, and 2.0spg. But the most of that year he spent at BC Nokia in Finnish Korisliiga. In 27 games he averaged 11.6ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.8apg, and 1.1spg previous season.

Holland has played also professionally in the NBA G League (South Bay L. and Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario).

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Holland's team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2018. He was also voted All-Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas 1st Team back in 2016 at his college time.

He attended the University of Texas until 2016 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
