Angola - Mozambique 87-58

Angola recorded the first win in 2021 AfroBasket Qualifiers. They stormed past Mozambique in Group B opener. Olimpio Cipriano (194-F-82) scored 14 points to lead the winners.
Angola eked out a 16-13 lead after the opening quarter. They followed with a strong 24-13 rally in the second term to take a comfortable 40-26 halftime lead. Angola dropped 30 points in the third period to stretch the margin at as many as 27 points. Angola limited Mozambique to just 15 points in the fourth term to cruise to the win. Carlos Morais (200-G-85, agency: Duran International) netted 13 points for Angola. David Canivete (193-SF-89) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds for Mozambique.
