Mozambique advanced to the newly-launched FIBA AfroCan thanks to a 3-1 mark in last week's FIBA Africa Zone 6 regional qualifiers in Harare, Zimbabwe. Rwanda Energy Group basketball club sealed a perfect start in the FIBA Africa Basketball League (AfroLeague) as they defeated Mozambican side Ferroviario da Beira in the opening game of Group C played on Friday night in Cairo. Aiming to make an impact at the upcoming FIBA Africa Basketball League (FIBA ABL), Ferroviario da Beira have signed three new international players.
