Maxaquene did not wait for too long to surge ahead. They built a 22:14 lead at the first intermission. They maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. The Inaki Martin team piled up an 11-point cushion at the interval. Ferroviario Beira did not bow and continued to fight bravely in the third quarter. Armando Baptista (199-F-85) and Andre Velasco helped the team to cut the distance at just 6 points heading into the fourth frame. But Maxaquene did not allow their opponents to develop on this success. They closed their defence in the fourth frame and rallied to a hard-fought win at the end.
Fernando Mandlate (191-G-85) scored 18 points in the win. Mucavel added 17 points for the newly crowned champions. Armando Baptista replied with 17 points for Ferroviario Beira. Andre Velasco contributed 14 points in defeat.
