Ferroviario de Maputo have been crowned Liga SASOL 2025 champions, securing their third straight title and an incredible 11th senior women’s national championship in Mozambique. The “Locomotives” reaffirmed their dominance by sweeping Costa do Sol 2–0 in the finals. They showcased their experience, depth, and winning culture. With this latest triumph, Ferroviário de Maputo continue to cement their status as the undisputed powerhouse of Mozambican women’s basketball and extend a dynasty that shows no signs of slowing down. Silvia Veloso (170-G-1998, college: Cumberlands) was named MVP.

Ferroviario de Maputo clinched 2025 Maputo Cup trophy. In the Final game they edged Costa Do Sol 69-52. Ferroviario de Maputo dominated the majority of the game to seal the trophy. Stefania Chiziane (179-F-1996, college: Highland, KS) led the way with 20 points and 3 assists. She was named MVP of the Finals.
