Costa do Sol wins Torneio de Abertura as they overcame Maxaquene 66:54. Deolinda Gimo (190-F/C-87), Catia Alar and Deolinda Ngulela (170-G-81, college: Augusta) were one of the key players in the team's success. In Game 2 Maxaquene managed to tie the series as they posted a 68:65 win. It was a real thriller in the court and brought interest and excitement until the last seconds. In Game 1 Costa do Sol celebrated a 53:45 victory.

Ferroviario de Maputo celebrate SuperCup title in Mozambique. They overcame Universidade A Politecnica 56-35 in Maputo. Leonel Manhique 's team led 28-21 at the halftime and managed to push the tempo for good in the second half. New imports Elisabeth Pereira and Dionilde Cuambe contributed into the team's win. They joined the team from Costa do Sol and Ferroviario from A Politecnica respectively.
