DEX-H Round 18 (Regular Season): IRT Tanger edge KACM by three points

The most exciting game of round 18 in the DEX-H took place in Tanger. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked KACM (9-7) to third ranked IRT Tanger (12-3) 71-68 on Monday evening. IRT Tanger have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-3 record having six points less than leader FUS Rabat. KACM at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. IRT Tanger are looking forward to face WAC (#7) in Casablanca in the next round. KACM will play on the road against ASC in Casablanca and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sale. First ranked FUS Rabat faced 4th ranked AS Sale. Guests from Rabat (16-1) defeated host AS Sale (10-4) 91-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AS Sale. FUS Rabat have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-1 record, which they share with MAS Fez. AS Sale at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. FUS Rabat will play against ASCHBB (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AS Sale will play against Larache (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Rabat was also quite interesting. Second ranked MAS Fez (16-1) played at the court of 7th ranked FAR Rabat (7-10). MAS Fez defeated FAR Rabat 76-65 on Sunday. MAS Fez keeps a position of league leader, which they share with FUS Rabat. Loser FAR Rabat dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Essaouira. MAS Fez will meet at home MTB (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. FAR Rabat will play against CPAM in Midelt and hope to secure a win.

Rest of the games of round 18 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Essaouira was crushed by ASCHBB in a road game 89-70. CODM was beaten by WAC at home 54-61. CPAM was destroyed by Larache on the opponent's court 96-73. MTB managed to outperform ASC in a home game 82-76.



AS Sale - FUS Rabat 83-91

Essaouira lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with FAR Rabat. ASCHBB will meet league's leader FUS Rabat on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Essaouira will play against CODM (#11) and hope to secure a win.

CODM - WAC 54-61

No shocking result in a game in Meknes where ninth ranked WAC (7-6) defeated 11th ranked CODM (4-10) 61-54 on Sunday. WAC moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted CODM keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. WAC will meet at home higher ranked IRT Tanger (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CODM will play against Essaouira (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. MTB maintains sixth position with 8-7 record. Newly promoted ASC keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. MTB will meet league's second-placed MAS Fez on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. ASC will play against KACM (#5) and hope to secure a win.
