DEX-D Round 5 (Regular Season): CSYG lose to MTB

Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league's leader CSYG (3-1). They were crushed by sixth ranked MTB (2-3) 65-32 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of CSYG. MTB moved-up to fourth place, which they share with ASC. CSYG at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with FAR Rabat and FUS Rabat. They were replaced at the leadership position by KACM. CSYG will play next round against strong AUIB trying to make it back to the top of the standings. MTB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Fourth ranked AUIB (3-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked IRAN (1-3) 57-54 on Sunday evening. AUIB moved-up to third place. IRAN lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with RCOZ and ASG. AUIB will play against league's second-placed CSYG in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. IRAN will play against CODM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Meknes. 3rd placed host CODM (2-2) lost to leader IRT (4-0) 53-48. IRT have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with KACM. Loser CODM dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. IRT will meet at home MAT (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CODM will play against IRAN and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: FAR Rabat won against RCOZ on the opponent's court 50-36. FUS Rabat outscored RCA in a home game 89-53. KACM rolled over ASC on the road 96-32.

FUS Rabat - RCA 89-53

Very predictable result when second ranked FUS Rabat (3-1) smashed at home 7th ranked RCA (1-4) 89-53 on Sunday. FUS Rabat maintains second place with 3-1 record behind leader KACM, which they share with FAR Rabat and CSYG. Newly promoted RCA keeps the seventh position with four games lost. FUS Rabat will meet at home RCOZ (#6) in the next round. RCA will play against the league's leader KACM and hope to win that game.

ASC - KACM 32-96

Not a big story in a game when 4th placed ASC (2-3) was rolled over at home by leader KACM (4-0) 96-32 on Sunday. KACM have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 4-0 record, which they share with IRT. ASC lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with MTB.
