Rose Macuei (ex MTB) is a newcomer at Al Ahly

Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) strengthened their roster with the addition of 25-year-old American (who also has a South Sudanese passport) forward Rose Macuei (187cm-2000). The last time she played was during the 2022-2023 season at Majd Tanger Basketball in the Moroccan DEX-D.

She has been regularly called up to the South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2023.

Macuei has played previously in Morocco and Uganda (UCU Ladies and Magic Stormers Kampala).

She won the Moroccan League championship title in 2023. She received the Afrobasket.com All-Ugandan League Player of the Year award and the Afrobasket.com All-Ugandan League Forward of the Year award in 2022.
