DEX-D Round 17 (Regular Season): CODM defeat MAT in the closest game of the week

The most exciting game of round 17 in the DEX-D took place in Meknes. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked MAT (10-7) to sixth ranked CODM (8-8) 54-53 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MAT. CODM maintains sixth place with 8-8 record. MAT at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. CODM are looking forward to face league's leader IRT in Tanger in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MAT will play at home against FAR (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Marrakech. Second-ranked host KACM (13-4) lost to leader IRT (17-0) 74-61. Undefeated IRT have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. Newly promoted IRT maintains first place with 17-0 record. KACM at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with MTB. IRT will play against CODM (#6) in Meknes in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KACM will play against ASG (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
12th ranked RCA Casabl. (1-15) was outscored at home by eleventh ranked ASG (4-12) with the biggest margin this round 80-42 on Sunday night. ASG maintains eleventh place with 4-12 record. RCA Casabl. lost their thirteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. ASG will meet at home league's second-placed KACM in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. RCA Casabl. will play against AUIB (#7) and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 17: RCOZ was destroyed by MTB on the opponent's court 72-35. FAR outscored IRAN in a home game 70-40. AUIB recorded a loss to FUS Rabat on the road 68-58.

MTB - RCOZ 72-35

Very expected game in Tanger where 9th ranked RCOZ (5-11) was crushed by third ranked MTB (13-4) 72-35 on Sunday. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for MTB. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with KACM. Loser RCOZ keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with IRAN. MTB will meet IRAN (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RCOZ will play against FUS Rabat and hope to secure a win.

FAR - IRAN 70-40

There was a small surprise in Rabat where tenth ranked FAR (6-11) smashed 8th ranked IRAN (5-11) 70-40 on Sunday. FAR moved-up to seventh place, which they share with AUIB. IRAN lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with RCOZ. FAR will meet higher ranked MAT (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. IRAN will play against MTB (#3) and hope to secure a win.

FUS Rabat - AUIB 68-58

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked AUIB (6-11) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked FUS Rabat (11-5) 68-58 on Sunday. FUS Rabat maintains fourth place with 11-5 record. AUIB lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with FAR. FUS Rabat will meet RCOZ (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. AUIB will play against RCA Casabl. and hope to secure a win.
