DEX-H Round 5 (Regular Season): WAC defeat Larache in the closest game of the week

The most exciting game of round 5 in the DEX-H took place in Casablanca. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Larache (2-3) to fifth ranked WAC (4-1) 68-66 on Monday evening. WAC moved-up to second place, which they share with MAS Fez and IRT Tanger. Larache at the other side keeps the eighth position with three games lost. WAC is looking forward to face league's second-placed IRT Tanger at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Larache will play against KACM (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
ASCHBB has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat CPAM (0-5) 102-80. ASCHBB (1-4) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with MTB. It was CPAM's fifth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. ASCHBB will play against Essaouira (#11) on the road in the next round. CPAM will play against FAR Rabat and hopes to get finally their first victory.
DEX-H top team - FUS Rabat (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed seventh ranked KACM (2-2) in Marrakech 92-52. Undefeated FUS Rabat have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record. Loser KACM dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with FAR Rabat. FUS Rabat will meet at home MAS Fez (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KACM will play against Larache and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 5: FAR Rabat lost to IRT Tanger on the opponent's court 61-76. AS Sale outscored Essaouira in a home game 89-41. MTB was rolled over MAS Fez on the road 87-57.



IRT Tanger - FAR Rabat 76-61

Very expected game when 6th ranked FAR Rabat (2-2) was defeated on the road by second ranked IRT Tanger (4-1) 76-61 on Monday. IRT Tanger have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-1 record behind leader FUS Rabat, which they share with WAC and MAS Fez. Loser FAR Rabat keeps the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with KACM. IRT Tanger will meet WAC (#4) in the next round. FAR Rabat will play against CPAM in Midelt and hope to secure a win.

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked MTB (1-4) was rolled over on the road by third ranked MAS Fez (4-1) 87-57 on Monday. The victory was the third consecutive win for MAS Fez. They moved-up to second place, which they share with WAC and IRT Tanger. Loser MTB keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with ASCHBB. MAS Fez will meet league's leader FUS Rabat on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MTB will play against AS Sale (#5) and hope to win that game.
