   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international shooting guard Mohamed Hachad (194-83, college: Northwestern, currently plays in France). Hachad could not help Provence Basket (4-10) to beat SPO Rouen (8-6). He scored 6 points. Provence Basket was defeated 83-77 on the road by the much higher-ranked SPO Rouen (#6). It's Hachad's first season with the team. This year Hachad averages: 4.0ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.4apg, 2FGP: 44.4%, 3FGP: 26.3%. He has a dual citizenship: Moroccan and Canadian. Hachad played for the Moroccan senior national team two years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Karim Gourari (203-89, currently plays in France). He contributed to a 2-point Saint Vallier's victory against the 13th-ranked Kaysersberg (3-16) 79-77 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Gourari recorded 6 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in 33 minutes. Saint Vallier Basket Drome (15-4) is placed second in Group B. This year Gourari's overall stats are: 9.8ppg, 7.3rpg, 3.7apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 55.8%(58-104), 3FGP: 35.1% and FT: 71.1% in 19 games he played so far. He played for the Moroccan national team in 2018.

   #3. The Moroccan player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Sami Al Uariachi (185, currently plays in Canada). Al Uariachi contributed to an easy victory against the Rouge et Or (2-6) crushing them 88-67 in the U Sports in Friday night's game. He scored 9 points, made 3 passes and 3 steals. The McGill University has a solid 6-2 record this season. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Al Uariachi's total stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 2FGP: 30.8%, 3FGP: 44.8% and FT: 91.7%. He is also a member of the Moroccan senior national team.

   #4. Forward Mehdi El Mardi (201-95, currently plays in NCAA2) contributed to an easy victory against the St. Martin's University (2-4) crushing them 87-63 in the NCAA2 last Tuesday. El Mardi recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 15 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. The Seattle Pacific University has a very solid 6-0 record this season. So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season. This year El Mardi's total stats are: 3.7ppg and 2.6rpg in 15 games. He used to play for the Moroccan U18 national team back in 2012.

   #5. Former international power forward John Wilkins (207-89, college: Illinois St., currently plays in Germany) was not able to help Duesseldorf (4-4) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Wilkins' good performance the fourth-placed Duesseldorf (4-4) was defeated 80-66 in Wedel by the lower-ranked SC Rist (#5) in the North group. He was the top scorer with 13 points. Wilkins also added 5 rebounds. Wilkins has averaged so far 6.8ppg and 1.8rpg. He is a naturalized American. Wilkins used to play for the Moroccan national team two years ago. He played also for As de Sale in Moroccan league.


One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Moroccan passport:

   #1. Mohamed Kherrazi (200-F-90, currently plays in Holland). He could not help Zwolle (12-2) to beat Groningen (7-6). Kherrazi cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 18 minutes. The league leader Zwolle was crushed 98-69 at home by the one of league's weakest teams (#8) Groningen. It was Zwolle's first loss after ten consecutive victories. This year Kherrazi averages: 6.0ppg, 9.2rpg, 2.3apg and 1.6spg in 14 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Moroccan and Dutch.
