FAR Rabat (D1) agreed to terms with experienced 38-year old American point guard MaJic Dorsey (185-81, college: S.Indiana). It is actually his comeback to Rabat as he has played here before. Dorsey played last season at B.Loewen in German Landesliga. In four Mediterranean Cup games, he had 11.3ppg, 2.8rpg, 8.3apg and 1.5spg.
Dorsey's team won the Mediterranean Cup.
The previous (17-18) season Dorsey played at FUS Rabat. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite an impressive season as he was selected Afrobasket.com All-Moroccan League Guard of the Year, named to 1st Team and named to All-Imports Team.
In 2006 (a year after he left the college) Dorsey was drafted by Anaheim Arsenal (NBA) as #0 pick overall. He attended University of Southern Indiana (NCAA Div.II) until 2005 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Afrobasket.com All-Egyptian Superleague Player of the Year back in 2015.
Dorsey is a quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in eight different countries. Dorsey tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Colombia (Piratas), Cyprus (Apollon), Iraq (Duhok), Mexico (Halcones UV Xalapa), Qatar (Al Wakrah), Saudi Arabia, Venezuela (Guaros) and Egypt (Al Gezira).
Dorsey is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at FAR Rabat.
